Default Inverted engine question

I have a 61 TT mounted inverted in a world models chipmunk. Siphon is my problem. It does not matter of the plane is right side up or upside down. If the plane is right side up the problem is much worse. I am thinking the only thing I can do is mount it sideways, but I will not be able to use the stock muffler. Any ideas of what muffler to use or how to correct the siphon problem. I can not move the tank easily. It is an ARF and I would have to take the front of it apart

Thanks for any info!!

Scott

Default Inverted engine question

I just use hemostats to clamp off the fuel line whenever it is siphoning. That is what I use on my Hangar 9 P-51 with an inverted OS 1.20 Surpass III.

Default Ditto...

Ditto on the hemostat, clamp off the inlet line to the carb before fueling and remove just before start-up problem solved. Sounds like the carb is lower than the tank stopper.
You can fine plastic hemostats in a set of 3 (blue, yellow and red) on most Matco and Snap-on tool trucks.

Default Inverted engine question

My local hobby shop stocks the stainless steel hemostats.
