Hey guys i'm looking for advice on this. The engine was bought last year but the aircraft I had it in crashed. Since really starting 3D flying now and going bigger in planes and engines i'm not really sure what to do. Find an aircraft for this or get rid. I could do with the extra cash for a sim so what do you think?? Help

I had my 60 Fx in a Pizzaz.....used a 14/4 prop and it was an AWESOME combo !!! Great transition/Killer torque. I an a 2-stroke man....I don't see what everyone see's in 4-strokes. IMHO I,d keep it

why alot of people go to 4 strokes

•they produce way more torque but don't make high rpms
•they can swing a bigger prop
•there almost always quite more responsive
•the smell
•the sound

Thats a good engine but not an ideal 3D engine. The thing is with the 60 2 strokes is that the power to weight ratio is bad. The 75 and 90 sized engines are the same size and weight but have more power. SO for 3D where more power and less weight is generally better, the 60 sized engine really isnt very popular.

With that said, if I had one, I would keep it. The truth is, is that engines dont necessarily hold their value if you try to sell it. Although that engine has lots of life in it you probably would only get 50-70% of what you paid for it. (I know because I buy all my motors used and I get awesome deals on them).

Boy this question could get ugly. LOL, actually i am sooo not a 2 stroke fan if I didnt have a choice and had to choose one it would be the 160 but MO is get rid of it. Put the money towards a YS 110 4 stroke pressurized engine. POWER like you have never seen. OKOK I am biased I love YS but I would say sell it especially for 3D.

That is a usefull motor. You've got it, it's yours, it's paid for --- keep it & use it.

Thanks for the reply guys. I think that I will keep it as I don't think that I would get much for it if I sell. I am actually buying a YS 110 this month to put in a Funtana 90. I am leaning towards the four strokes now as they are pretty cool for 3D and look better and should I say sound better. I have always stuck with O.S. ie. 46AX, 61FX, 40LA. The LA is for a spad I know what people think of them but they are cheap and useful for spads. Is anybody here well up on the YS engines especially the YS 110?

I own 3 a .63 a 110 and a 1.40 which I am currently putting into a Funtana 90. Thats cool, good choice of engines I must say.

I think you should sell it. just PM me. the Ys 110 is a awesome engine. I have one on a giant scale planes swallow with a 15x10 apc at 9000rpm.
