Default Where to buy Tail Wheel Tension Springs?

Does anyone have a good source for tail wheel assembly tension springs? I need a few that are about 4 inches long. Just so there is no confusion... these are the springs that connect the tail wheel and rudder on larger planes.

Thanks!

Bird Dog, try looking at Home Depot or ACE Hardware stores for springs. Another source would be a specialty nut and bolt shop, they normally carry springs too

In the past I have done the same with good results for just such items,,, to include nuts and bolts.

Hope that helps!

I'm with Bill... Go to your local hardware store and buy several different sizes then use the ones that work best.

Thanks, I'll give Home Depot a try and let you know what I find. I checked their web site but didn't find what I was looking for.

Default springs

Another place to try and locate springs would an Auto parts store,,, try looking at the throttle cable Return springs. The ends of these springs are long and straight,,, so as you can use a needle nose plyers and bend them up as you so desire!

Auto part stores have a vast aray of springs to choose from

The best ones I've found have been at Auto parts stores.
