Default Variable pitch prop

Hey Guy's and gals I have a variable pitch prop I bought from a guy here on RCU I wish I could post a picture but I can't yet as I need a new camera. However I can tell you it has three blades all of which are Zinger 18/6. They apear to be made for this hub as they have copper or brass bases at and in the hub which is what piviot's them together. The engine shaft opening is about 5/16 this part along with the main hub the props fit into stay's stationary while a block inside the hub and outside the prop shaft spindle moves in and out to actuate the prop pitch movement . does anybody have any idea who might have made this thing ????????? I would really like to use it but not before I send it out for service. there seems to be a lot of movement [ slop ] in the blades, and the slide block that actuates the pitching movement seems to be missing something. I sure hope someone can help me thanks Pat

I just came across this website that may be able to help you - it is a Canadian company that makes what appears to be some very interesting products.( I'm biased - from Alberta Canada.)Try them at sales@soloprops.com I'm sure you will be interested.

For what it is worth, there is this group that is working on a CS prop setup. It is at least worth checking it out, neat stuff.

Pat,

I recall that Moki made a uint like you describe. So try looking for an ad for Moki engines and related products. If the prop is not mentioned in the ad you should talk to them directly.
