Good Second Plane !!!!!!!!
My son has got the basics down, is soloing with no trainer cord.
He can loop, roll, split s and stall turn his trainer no sweat.
Needs some coaching when landing. Not bad for a seven year old! He now wants something that can fly upside down, etc,... The question is what would make a good 2nd plane? I want a mid or low wing trike gear that will move out with a .46. A symetrical airfoil is good. Must still retain good smooth flying charactoristics and not be a beast when landing.
Please advise a model or two you had a good experience with, I perfer a kit, so we can build as a winter project. Thanks for the input!

Sig Mid Star is my favorite 2nd plane. Also designed by Bruce Tharpe, will do all the tricks but lands just like a trainer. I even competed basic IMAC with mine. Is built very light and will fly great with the 45 size engine.
