Default Hobbico Quick Field Charger MKII Settings

I just got it. Here's my question. Say I've finished 3 flights and want to top off my 4.8V 4 cell RX battery pack. To how many amps should I adjust the dial? Don't want to burn down my planes.

Thanks,

Grand Rapids, MI

depends on the capicity of your pack. if its a 600ma pack set it at 200ma or less. really your battery shouldn't need to be charged untill about 1.2 volts per cell or 4.8 volts. i would sugest you get expanded scale votmeter and check before charging and get a cycler to really check your battery once in awhile. just don't be tempted to crank your charger all the way up because it will ruin your battery.

It is a 600ma pack. I assume then the 200ma you're speaking of would be .2 amps on my dial thingie?

Thanks

yes that would be correct. i have the same charger and always charge at one third the ma rating of the battery. the same for transmitter packs. as an example 1200ma charge at 400ma or .4ma
