Hangar 9 P51D Miss America Retract Gear Struts
Does anyone have a suggestion or source for upgrading the retractable landing gear struts on the Hangar 9 P51D Miss America? The landing gear retract mechanics are fine, but the 5/32 struts are just too flimsy. The gear struts need to be at least 3/16 instead of the provided 5/32. Does anyone make a replacement gear strut?

Your going to find the retracts are as bad as the struts. I replaced mine with mechanicals from Frank Tiano http://www.franktiano.com/scaleproduct.htm click on Mustang Retracts.
They ain't cheap but they are like taxing and landing on fixed gear, and have 3/16 titanium struts. They also close with the gear doors flush.
