Default saito 150 fuel problem,,,, PUMP????

I have a inverted Saito 150 in a p-40. The fuel tank is appx 9 inches behind the engine and the centerline of the tank is about one inch above the carb spray bar and the tank is 22oz. All this spells is disaster. lol

I tried using a iron bay regulator, but I am unable to get a rich mixture setting at WOT. Mid range is ok, but not WOT. I have it set up right, its outlet is almost touching the carb inlet. Add it has pressure.

My next choice will soon be to try the Perry Pump VP-30. Not the shaker, the one that runs off of crankcase pulsations. Has anyone had experience with one???? if so, did you use a return line, or just hook up straight.

What about a header tank??? would that help, despite the long fuel travel distance???
