Default Seeking fiberglass landing gear

I want to replace the wire landing gear that came with my Goldberg Ultimate 10 300 kit with fiberglass or another form of composite, but I'm having a hard time finding anybody that sells them. Can anybody give me a link or two that I might try?

Specs are in the attached photo.

Thanks much,
Mike

carbon composite would be your best bet--lighter, yet stronger than aluminum. Can be found at most LHS, or at tower.

oops, sorry, I got ahead of myself a bit. I just checked tower and they are very limited on the carbon fiber landing gear in stock. Do a google search or search here on rcu--you're bound to find some.

Why not try these people: http://www.tntlandinggear.com/store/..._List_Gear.htm

Composite gear from this site is good.

Thanks, fellas. I tried TNT; in fact, they were the first place I went to. They have aluminun that will fit but I want glass or composite. And even the best stocked LHS's around here and on the web have a pitiful selection. I've tried Googling for them too with no luck. That's why I was asking for personal knowledge of a hobby shop or manufacturer.

The quest continues.

Thanks, DickJ. I looked at TNT before I started this thread. If you're referring to the Aero Works 25% Edge 540 (the 1st one on their list) that's the only one that comes close. But the height would put the fuselage where the gear is mounted about 1 1/4" higher than specs and the nose would be way up there. Did you put it on a Goldberg Ultimate 10 300 kit?

No, I don't think so. Dubro's really limited on what they sell. Too bad because I liked their products.

I'll re-attach the specs that I'm looking for.

Hi Mike,

I'm Ken of 'Hobbyncrafts'. I've been making custom carbon fiber landing gear for over 5 yrs. The Ult. Bipe is a plane that I've made gear for in the past. The dimensions are REAL close to what you have listed. Please email me at [email protected] This way I can give you a price on the gear. My records show that I may have one in stock.

Regards, Ken
