Default 2-56 threaded rod (hardened)

I am setting up my Robart mechanical retracts and I want to use hardened 2-56 threaded rod. Both local HS near me have only non hardened rod. Where would an internet source for hardened threaded rod be?

What I do is use regular rod and carbon fiber hollow rod. I thread the 2/56 into the carbon fiber and glue the ends. Very stiff!
