Default Radio Setup for dual elevator servos

I posted this in the 3D forum, but it isn't getting much traffic.
I recently purchased a Futaba T6EXA, and I'm about to put it into a Hangar 9 Harrier .46.

This Harrier is the first plane I've had with dual servos for independent elevator halves. I'd like to know if I should just Y-harness the elevator servos and call it good, or if there are other (more versatile) things I should be considering with this radio.

Any thoughts are appreicated.

The Y harness is the easiest way of doing it. Good Luck, Dave

Using just a "Y" harness will cause the halves to move in opposite directions.
There are three ways to correct this using your radio.
1) Use a servo reverser "Y" harness
2) Use one reversed servo (Horizon sells these)
3) Use one fataba and one hitec servo (they turn opposite directions naturally)

Use a Y-harness. It's easy enough to arrange the servos and links so the elevators move in the same direction. Obviously, you don't want the setups to be mirror images. Keep the links on the same side of both servos, and you won't have a problem.

Do you want to half-***** it or do it right?

If you want to half-***** it, then use a reversing Y. Your elevators won't move the same amount in both directions--and you'll maybe never get them to line up perfectly throughout the entire range of travel. But, if your not looking for PRECISION--then do it this way.

If you ARE looking for PRECISION and you want it done RIGHT--then buy one of these:

Or one of these:
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Shop/ByC...ProdID=JRPA900

Both of these are essentially the same thing. One is Futaba and the other is JR.

It's the only way to REALLY get BOTH servos to work together throughout the FULL RANGE of travel in BOTH directions.

Or, if you have a fancy computer radio--a lot of them will mix it for you without the need for the Matchbox or the Synchroniser.

Another is the Hitec option -- Hitec programmable digital servos and the Hitec HFP-10 programmer, which you only need to buy once. Lots posted about Hitec servos, so I don't want to get that started. But this is another option, and it works very well in my opinion.
