Can Dubro glo starter components interchange with G.P. or Hangar 9?
DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THE ALUMINUM MADE DUBRO GLO STARTER IS MANUFACTURED SO THE THREADED HALVES AND DIMENSIONS OF IT (WHEN DISASSEMBLED) WOULD SWAP OUT WITH THE HALVES OF A GREAT PLANES OR HANGAR 9 GLOW STARTER?
I have the blue aluminum Great Planes glo plug starter with the meter, and a red Hanger 9 aluminum glo plug starter with the meter. Both are made by the same manufacturer, and so the parts are interchangeable.
However, I don't like the snap on system on my two glo starters, and would prefer the "twist and lock" system offered by Dubro glo starters. I'm tired of my two glo starters falling off onto the running engine.
I'd like to be able to buy a new dubro glo starter and put the top meter half of my Great Planes or Hangar 9 glo starter on it.
Perhaps somebody has a Dubros and one of these other brands on hand and can check it out a minute for me.
