Default I don't expect an answer to this question....

I was on the Tower Hobbies looking for some small button-head wood screws for canopies, etc. I did a search for "#2" to get in the right size range.

I got this Hobbico item as one of my search results:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFYE0&P=7

Do any of you folks have any use for a plastic monk? [&:]

I guess a monk might be the last thing I'd expect to find while searching for airplane parts!

That's my trusty '95 900 SS SP. I wish I had a model airplane engine that would make a sound similar to the Duck exhaling through the carbon Staintune cans.

I'll be darned, even Tower Hobbies can make a mistake. You must have a lot of time on your hands!

They also sell train stuff. Our (former) layout included a raccoon dining in a garbage can behind the tower.

It's not a mistake. They sell things for lots of other hobbies besides R/C airplanes. The monk has "#2" in the item name, and I was searching for "#2" to view the various lengths and types of screws available in that diameter.

I thought the search result was kind of funny so I posted it here. I think you must have a lot of time on your hands to take the time to post a snide comment....

Nice... but did you have a monk anywhere on the layout?

(I have enough N-scale stuff to build a huge layout, but lost interest. I think I'll eBay it all after Christmas.)

I heard that they have very bad habits.

D'ya think the kid is in danger?

Maybe it's a flying monk -- the aerobeatific kind.

The monk is an accessory for the kits of the Missions of California. Schoolkids in California at some point study Calif. history. One of the projects some do is to build a model of one of the many missions that were the basis for the original settlelment.

"Missions of California" is a Hobbico brand: http://www.missionsofca.com/

Hey!!! that monk is Saint Anthony ...

Actually, it's St. Francis of Assisi.

And don't use him in a high nitro plane, 'cause you might 'friar'.
