Default DeBolt "Cosmic Wind"

Hello Folks:
Does anyone out there have any info on a DeBolt "Cosmic Wind" model? For instance, is it a four channel kit--how is it to build--what engine works best in it--anything anyone knows about it would be appreciated. It sure is a pretty little thing if the picture on the box is an actual picture. Thanks, folks.

Here's what the Vintage RC Society says about the Cosmic Wind:

Live Wire Cosmic Wind Sp 57" .15 - .25 R-REMA K DeBolt Model Engineering

I was hoping the Pond Plans (AMA) had the plan, but I didn't find it on a quick look. There is another fellow who worked with Pappy and sells his plans. If you want, I'll look up some info on him. I have his plans list somewhere.

Should be a great flying quick sport/racer. The design will be a little old school, of course, but should build up light.

Ah, here's that source for DeBolt plans. Just drop him a line and he'll send you his list. Can't find mine right now.

And here's a long thread about DeBolt for general interest.

KDHEATH:
Thanks for the info. My reason for asking the original question is that I found a kitted model of one of these in a LHS that has some really old stuff lying around. The VERY old gentleman who owns this shop has had some kits in his inventory for 30+ years that have never sold. I certainly did admire the picture on the box and may buy it just to hang in my shop and enjoy. Thanks for the response.

I'd definitely latch onto it then. Don't see a lot of DMECO kits for sale, anyway, and I don't think I've ever seen one of these for sale. Worst cae, it will probably go up some in value and you can always use the kit parts for patterns and build one. Neat.

Yeah, I've been considering going there and negotiating a price to buy any number of older kits that he has, still priced at the msrp on the box from whenever he bought them, many of them 20-30 years ago. Some of these things may never sell, and the problem is that they would be builders' kits, not laser cut, self aligning kits of today. Lord knows who would want to build some of these things, but might be interesting just to have.
