First 1/4 scale plane Kangke cap 232 120
Hello. I have a question, I am building my first 1/4 scale plane, a kangke cap 232 120. What I want I plan on using is this
Servos are hitec hs 5625mg
Speed: 0.17 sec/60 degrees at 4.8V
Speed: 0.14 sec/60 degrees at 6.0V
Torque: 109.7 oz/in at 4.8V
Torque: 130.53 oz/in at 6.0V
these will be on all of the control surfaces
Both elevator servos will be as close to the tail as posible.
rudder will be a pull pull system
futaba raido system
power will be from 6v 2000 mah batts with backup.
Ok now for the difficult part. I can't afford the da engines or the like. I would love to have one but funds are not there to get one at this point. I was thinking about the os 1.60fx or the bgx 3000 Glow. Using these would keep me from cutting the cowl too much so when the funds become available, I would be able to put a DA or the like in there with very little modification. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

RE: First 1/4 scale plane Kangke cap 232 120
I own both glow & gas engines ( including an OS 160 & a Brison 2.4 ) and I got to tell you you'll be much happier with the OS in a plane of this size. A lot less vibration and at least 1 lb. less weight, yes it will cost you more to operate but I bet you'll get tired of the plane before the cost of the glow fuel will be more than the extra of the engine.
I have a 26cc, 2 - 40cc, a 50cc gasser and a bunch of glow engines from .61 to 2.70 and I'm convinced that the extra weight and fuel savings of a gasser don't make sense until you hit the 50cc mark, IMHO.
