Default A reasonable deal?

Folks,

I have an offer on the table from my instructor to buy his trainer plane. For $225 I can get the following:

Great Planes PT 40 Trainer plane

7 channel Futaba transmitter on legal channel (aircraft channel 37)
7 channel futaba receiver
Charger for TX/RX
Enya CX40 engine (smoking fast engine, can be used later)

- Simple flight box with a power panel and sealed battery
- glow igniter/charger
- hand crank fuel pump on fuel jug

Sound reasonable?

Thanks!

Wes

Can't go wrong--that's about 4-500 dollars worth of stuff if you bought it all separately.

It is a good deal. It is definitely worth AT LEAST twice that amount.

On it face its a good deal.
I would have the following questions-
Is the airplane in average to above average condition? (prior crash damage?)
Is the TX battery good?
Is the RX battery good?
How much time on the engine? (Prior crashes?)
Does the set up include servos?
If the answers to the above are positive, then its an excellent deal.

Most instructors are fair and will more then likely give you a good deal, especially if they are working with you, they don't want to be working on junk.

Sounds like a good deal to me, if you don't get it someone else will. " He who hesates is lost " ENJOY !!! RED
