Default Third line from fuel tank?

I've built several World Models ARFs and the plans always show three lines coming from the fuel tank; I've always used only two: one for the carb and one to the muffler. Can anyone tell me what the third line is supposed to be for? Thanks. Jack

Default Third line from fuel tank?

Use of a third line means that you don't have to pull the fuel line off of your needle valve inlet in order to fill the tank. If you choose to set up a third line the pipe inside the tank must go down to the bottom in order to be able to drain the tank. Some people install a second clunk, instead. The fill line must be closed before running the engine in order to maintain tank presssure.

Default fuel/defuel

Hi Jacktip.
On engine installations where the fuel line to the carb is inaccessible such as an in-cowl install, the third line is routed to the bottom of the tank. The other end is terminated in a conveniently located fuel dot. Fueling and defueling is then accomplished through this third line. Ok?

Default Third line from fuel tank?

Any time I have an engine installed that is a problem to drain the engine or fuel /unfuel the tank[inverted or inclosed engine] I use the third line. One end with a fuel dot, the other end in the tank with a clunk on the end.
