Futaba receivers
I am confused about Futaba receivers. I have a 7 channel R127DF and an 8 channel R148DF. They both look the same to me. That is they have 7 servo slots and a battery slot. On the 148 it says 8/B, and I don't understand that. Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Richard

RE: Futaba receivers
Yes, they use the same case and the battery port (which can be any slot) is also channel 8.

RE: Futaba receivers
Any port can be a battery port. THE battery uses the black and red wires only and all are in parallel. THE white wire is the signal wire and is what the servos use to know the needed controlled position from the receiver. If you have 8 servos, then all will go into one or more of the slots. If you need two servos or a servo and a battery to go into one slot, then you use a "Y" connector which is a cable with one male and two female ends.

I still don't understand. I can only use 7 servos if I put the battery into one of the slots. How do you get 8 channels out of that?

RE: Futaba receivers
hi
on the slot in question you can can channel 8 by using a y harness to connect the battery and a servo. assuming you have an 8 channel transmitter.
good luck and happy flying
