3"x3"x36" balsa or foam needed
I'm building a push pull airplane and I need to modify the wing and put some booms on it to build the tail. I need some Balsa or Foam that are the size listed in the subject. I'm having a hard time finding such things. Any Ideas
Thanks

Google to the rescue.
Searched for Balsa Blocks and came up with this stuff:

http://www.dbalsa.com/balsa.htm#6

Faced with this sort of situation my normal procedure would be to use 3 pieces of 1x3x36 if they are available, or similar pieces to get to the size wanted, and CyA them together.

Ryan,
I hope you are not building the booms from solid balsa. That would be too much weight in just the wrong place. Might I suggest that you build them like a fuselage - frames, longerons, and skin. Or pehaps a foam core with a skin material like fiberglass or balsa.
Disregard if I have misinterpreted your post.

No, you didn't misinterprete. Thats what I was planning. I guess I thought the weight would be right, but now you have me thinking. I would prefer to use foam and skin it. I thought balsa would be light enough but I quess I should check into a little more.
thanks for the input
