I have been told but can,t verify this apparently Austincraft was made here in Kingman, AZ. but is long since gone.

I still use one but actually the quality of some of the import types is better, fit, finish etc. I do keep it on hand however because it is smaller and easier to use in tight quarters as in an old timers with a wing pylon in the way or a twin with side mounted engines.
