Default smoke substance

what is used in a smoke system to make it smoke. some kind of liquid that is burned. i dont know i figured all of you would know.

transmission oil was used at one time,alot depends on how hot you get the muffler/smoke chamber as different oils smoke at different temps.

Many of the non-petroleum based fluids use liquid paraffin.....

I thought parafin was petroleum based.

Just go buy a gallon of smoke oil, like Super Dri. That way, you dont screw anything up experimenting. Cheaper, too. By the time you spend a couple bucks for a quart of this and a couple bucks for a quart of that, figure out they dont work well, and then go buy something else, you will have spent as much as you would on that gallon of smoke oil to begin with.
