Looking for your advice on next plane
Hello to all the people who have more insight and exposer to this sport...Im looking for a plane an ARF preferably that meets 2 criteria...1. Has to move I mean fast, or at least give you the feeling that it is flying fast...2 Retracts...3...Multi engine is good or single doesnt matter...3...Doesnt have to be able to do 3d or pattern...4...Has to look nice not junky...
Criteria 1 and too are a must, so please help me figure this out

Not qite the size you are looking for but fast as all heck with the right engine/prop. I do not have one but flew one with an OS91FX on it on a tuned pipe and it was fast.

I know you said ARF but GP makes the Patriot in a kit that is also very fast with retracts. Here is a video of one. We clocked it that day at 128 mph. I do not know the specs but it screams

If I think of any more I'll post them for you

Please define fast. How fast do you want to go?
You left out some words. It should read;- Speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?

You mentioned a multi engine. A twinstar is multi engine ARF and is pretty fast. It doesnt have retracts but maybe with a few mods it could have.
I think that was a pretty popular mod the first time they produced it.

You're right. I left out the money part.
koolhand11, if you want info on moderate just-for-fun-and-sport speed, check out the Extreme Speed forum here on RCU. If you want to know about REAL speed, check out the Pylon forums.
