Default Needle valve- remote adjustment

A friend of mine picked up a beautiful Corsair bipe a few months ago. It's mostly built, and uncovered. The guys that built it did an amazing job, building in hidden hatches all over the place and reinforcing key points with a heavy thread, just like the full scale. He even designed a way to adjust the needle valve remotely. He used what appears to be a speedomoter cable. It attaches to the needle valve and is strung through the fuselage so it can be adjusted via one of the aforementioned hatches. Brilliant.

Yesterday I had to do some plumbing drain work. I have one of those 30 foot plumbing snakes to remove clogs and got to thinking that this stuff is even more flexible than speedometer cable. I'm toying with the idea of using this on my TF 182, as I haven't cut a hole for needle valve adjustment, and hope not to. What ya think? Anybody tried something like this?

Just buy the remote Dubro needle adjust and hook servo linkage to it. Adjust the needle valve with your transmitter.

EDIT: Forget I said that. They must not make them anymore? I looked at Sullivan also and didn't find it.

I found it. PERRY VP-IMC-05 In-Flight Mixture Control $24.95 at bottom of page....

Very interesting, w8ye. Wasn't aware of a product like that. I wonder if a micro servo like the Hitec 81 would be good enough for that?

Yes, the HS81 would be ideal for this valve

Enjoy,
