Default Saito 180 upside down???

I am in the process of mounting my saito 180 on my Funtana 90. Has anyone had problems with mounting big 4's upside-down? Thanks!!!

I've run a 100 inverted in a Ucando for several years now. I use a Cline regulator with the tank at cg. I've never had the engine quit. The Cline also keeps from flooding the cylinder when the plane is sitting.

I run a Saito 56 inverted in a Rascal 40. It has worked flawlessly for three plus years. I also have two Saito 100s running inverted in a DC-3. They are running Iron Bay regulators as they both feed from a fuselage mounted tank and would flood out when not running. I also have an OS52 fourstroke that has run for years inverted.
If the motor is broken in it will be as reliable as side or up right mounting.

I mounted a Saito 1.20 GN inverted in my FuntanaS 90. Worked great. I had the carb pointed out the side and the muffler goes nicely toward the bottom. As usual with inverted, you may have to watch out for that occasional fuel lock while starting.

Iron Bay's regulator will fix this problem as well. Much nicer machining than the cline as well. www.ironbaymodelcompany.com

I had an inverted Saito 150 on my Funtana. Not a problem at all.
