Default Access hatch construction

TF Corsair 1/8.

Installed servos in the wings for the ailerons now I need to be able to access them when the wing is closed up. I came across one idea (using monokote as a separator between the sheeting and the patch of fibreglass that will be shaped to fit the access hole) but still have one question:

At what stage should this access hole be cut? I've got the bottom sheeted and can see from the "inside" where I would need to cut. However, once I sheet the top, seeing that spot is obviously impossible.

Do I cut the hole out now while I can still see it? Or do I just make 4 small holes in the corners of the proposed hatch then add the top sheeting, glass it and make my hatch out of the fibreglass as described above then cut the balsa/glassed surface using those pre-drilled holes as a guide and shape the new access hatch in place?

Guess I'm asking in general what would be a easy way to create this hatch?
