I am getting back into flying. I stopped about 2 years ago to do other things, but the love has returned

My problem is I have a neck injury and need somthing to hold my transmitter without a strap going across my neck. A wide strap would be ok, but I also need a way to hold the transmitter suspended without it twisting on me. I have tried a few of the foam holders and did not like them.

Before some people had posted a few home made holders.

Any suggestions please let me know, there is a swap meet this weekend and if I can find me a good re-starter plane I will be wanting to immediately start flying it -

Spring air offers a transmitter tray they call it, a little pricey but you might look for another along these lines.

A friend of mine mounted a piece of aluminum to the bottom of his 9303 and he tucks it into his belt while flying. It's combined with a neck-strap for him, but you could just as easily connect the TX to a shoulder harness or a chest strap of some kind. Might be cheaper than a TX tray or holder.

There are many transmitter tray layout out there and here is mine. Use 7 mm interior grade ply for the best finish or 1/4" ply. Paint with a good grade of poliutherane paint and make the neck straps from 1/4" cord to keep it nice and light. Above all remember the KISS principle...

These guys sell a transmitter tray harness that goes across the back and crisscrosses over the shoulders so there is no pressure on the neck at all.

Thanks for the input, I will go through and digest it all. I do like the ABS plastic one. Seems it may be the lightest. I will go through the links and see if I can make any myself quickly.

I have one of the RC Trayman Tx holders and one of the old DuBro foam holders. The RC Trayman is much the superior one and I really like it even though it isn't cheap, but I still use the DuBro one when float flying - for obvious reasons.
