Default stripped saito threads

My Saito 100 has stripped threads where the glow plug goes. I know better but yes, it is my faught. Has anyone else had this happen? Does anyone know the thread size so I can re-tap it?
Thanks for the help.

If I remember correctly, glow plugs are 1/4x32.

If the threads are stripped, you may want to consider sending the head to Clarance Lee and have a heli-coil put in. He advertises in the back of the major RC mags.

I'll tap it first and if it came down to it I would probably send it to Saito themselves. Thanks for the input though.

You can send the engine head to Clarence Lee in California and he'll insert a helicoil for $15 to $20. I recently got a Saito back from him and he did an excellent job.

THis is probably the best option. Saito "horizon" will replace the cylinder at big $$. But the heli-coil will work for much less. Just send it to Clarence and let him fix it. Jim
