Default Servo question

I have an old cub with an Airtronics radio in it and the transmitter has gone south. Can I use the servo's that are in it and plug them into a JR receiver. Thanks in advance.

Default RE: Servo question

If the servos have the "Z" connector they'll plug right in and work fine. Servos with a "Z" in the model number should have the right connector. The wires will be black/red/blue which correspond to brown/red/orange. on JR.

If the Airtronics servos do not have black/red/blue wires, in that order, you have some work to do. I found the wiring diagram RCKen posted:

If your servos do not have the Z connector you'll need to move the wires in the connector so they are in the right order to match the JR receiver.

Thanks, I will need to move the wires but that will be better than changing the servo's!

The Airtronics receiver will work with your JR transmitter if they are on the same channel. Both are Pos (+) Shift.

Airtronics also makes two different short adapters allowing you to use "Z" connectors in older receiver's and or older servos in "Z" receiver's

Default RE: Servo question

You can use any servo with any brand receiver, as long as you have the wiring correct. Take a look at this chart and see if it helps any.
