Question on Landing Gear Mounting

Question on Landing Gear Mounting
I'm interested in using a Robart type of shock absorbing leg in a non-retracting installation, for the main gear.
Specifically, I'm building the Ziroli 101" B-25, and want to have fixed gear for simplicity, however I like the scale looks and shock absorbing capability of these legs.
Is it possible at all, and if so how would I go about mounting them? would a hard wood block in each nacelle with a hole deep enough to hold the leg a few inches be suitable? or do I have to provide some kind of torsion spring effect to allow the leg to bend backwards?
Thanks!

RE: Question on Landing Gear Mounting
How about these?

This shows how they could be mounted to hide the mounts

I was looking for pretty much the same thing you were for a future project. I have not used these before but they look to be strong and if mounted in the wing only the strut would be visible.
Just an idea.

RE: Question on Landing Gear Mounting
I have not used them before so can't really say -- you might want to e-mail Fults directly or possibly someone will respond that has actually used them?
Sorry I don't have any additional info.
