Default engine for Ace Upstart

Hello
I just bought an Ace Upstart kit (old) and I was wondering what kind of engines it can handle. I know it's supposed to go with .049 or .051 but I can't seem to find any engines that can be throttled in flight. Anyone know a place where I could get a .049 that can be throttled and piped to a large gas tank?
I haven't actually received the kit yet (may take a while since apparently UPS takes the week between christmas and new years off) ....I've been looking through ebay and there's some engines that resemble normal R/C engines but I ask the sellers and they say it can't be controlled by a servo. Most of them have a gas tank mounted on the back, which I guess mounts to the front of the plane, wondering if there's any plain, regular engines that can mount horizontally rather than vertically. I'm basically looking for .049 (or whatever size this kit can handle) version of a fully R/C designed engine.
