Super Coverite Removal
Anyone out there had the "pleasure" of removing Super Coverite Fabric lately? What can be used to remove the glue? I have been using acetone to soften it and rub it until it balls up, effective but very time consuming. It appears that the balsa was doped before application and this covering has been on the airplane for 20+ years. Any tips would be appreciated.

RE: Super Coverite Removal
Use the same method you put it on....The iron . To remove the glue use MEK. I get it(MEK ) form local Home Depot in the pint department. Be carfule when useing MEK as it will attack anything with polyester in it i.e. paint plastic etc. Just pot a little on a cloth and rub over the area you wish to get the glue off of. Might want to use rubber gloves if you have sensitive skin,NO do use rubber gloves just to be safe.
