Default Adjusting Mechanical Retracts

I'm having trouble adjusting the mechanical retracts on an Arf I'm assembling. The instructions indicate you need to bend the control linkages at the servo in order to clear the EZ connectors. I did that but I cannot adjust it so that it locks in both the up and the down positions. Its either one way or the other. I'm using a hi tec 75 low profile 180degree retract servo but it doesnt look like the servo is rotating the full 180. Could this be the problem? The airplane is a Zero so there is some dihedral in the wings but the recommended retract servo is a futaba S136 whch is also 180degrees. Is there a method for properly adjusting mechanical retracts.
BTW the retracts do lock both ways when I manually work them.

Thanks anyone,

~Jay

Pull out one of the retract units. Measure exactly (i use milimeters and a caliper) how far the push rod moves from down and locked to up and locked.

Make the ez connnectors on the servo wheel opposite each other and the same distance apart as the measurement you took.

I use a blank servo wheel and drill the holes so they are in eactly the postion I need them to be in.

Thanks for the reply!!...............That makes sense. I'll do it tonight. ( I adjusted and readjusted half the night trying to get them to work.this will likely be one of those situations where the solution was so simple I couldn't see it type of things.)

Thanks again for the help

It worked out great. Thankfully I had one of those blank servo wheels 'cause the one that came with the servo was too small. I had to modify the servo bay to make sure everything cleared but it works great!

Thanks again for the help (the relief is much better than what the Tylenol did )
