fiberglass covering
I am in the process of covering a plane (fulke wulf 190D) with fiberglass (.5 oz fiberglass cloth with Zpoxy resin). During the preliminary sanding I have had a few small ( .25 in square) areas where I have either sanded thru the cloth or where there was not a good bond between the balsa and fiberglass.
I am inclined not to be to concerned with these areas and simply continue to undercoat / paint. Should I go back and recover these areas with fiberglass and resin???
This is my first attempt at fiberglassing a plane and I am concern with adding additional / unneccessary weight, partcularly to the tail section.
All comments / suggestions would be appreciated.

Recover the bad areas. Carefully sand and blend in as good as possible. Use primer to feather the edges into the previously laid cloth. This situation arises when you have crash damage also.

RE: fiberglass covering
I personally would - and have - simply ignored the issue and gone on with a degree of caution to make sure that I didn't go further into the skin.
