Default Servo cleaning?

Anybody ever take apart and clean it? On a profile of mine the servo for the rudder starting glitching really bad. I took the servo cover off and found that there was a lot of oil in it from being in the exhaust stream. Any recommendations for cleaning them?

I used to clean servos fairly often, but that was before micro chips, so I hesitate to comment on that. But to avoid getting it oily in the first place (Or after it's been cleaned) cut a clear plastic bubble from a toy wrapper and glue it over the servo.

Thanks Minn. That sounds like it might work. Now I just have to find a nephew that could use a Hot Wheels.

only way to clean the oil off is with alcohol[100 %] rubbing alcohol contains water and can damage the circuitry.usually if a servo is jittery it is the pot that is dirty,we used to be able to clean them but now they are sealed, maybe some spray contact cleaner may work
