Default leading edge shape ?

I am currently building a sukhoi 26mx from plans with balsa built up wing, ele.rud and I,m trying to decide what the benefits of
pointy or slim leading edges verses blunt leading edges are?

In other words , How will it effect the wing airfoil in flight ?

Tommygunn,

Generally, a blunter ( larger radius ) leading edge will delay stall. Conversely, a 'pointier' leading edge will stall more easily. For some aerobatic maneuvers, you need at least one wing to stall, so a sharper leading edge may be advantageous. You will need someone involved with aerobatics to give a more detailed recommendation.

.
A thinner leading edge will alow the plane to fly faster.
Also improve aerobitics.
But it will also stall faster.
Remember to consider the angle of attack when you go with a thin wing.
If it's a flat bottom you can decrease the angle of attack and still have a nice flying bird.
If you have full symmetrical wing then you need to go by the instructions or ask someone who knows more then me
