Use k2r spot remover - the powder absorbs the oil. You will have to probably do a couple of applications and vacuuming it up.

Hi,
Sprinkle the spots with a liberal amount of corn starch (you cook with it, its like flour), rub it in and let sit for 4 to 8 hours and then vacuum up. It will absorb the oils. If its real bad, you may have to do it twice. It also works for grease and oil.
Good luck!

Tuffstuff, yellow and red can, automotive section at wal-mart. Its a cleaner we use it to clean customers trucks when we get grease and oil in them. $2.50 or so a can. spray let soak scrub out, I know I use the same fuel.

Your screwed. Nothing will take that oil out of the carpet.
Better just take your cot out in the garage and plan on a cold winter. [sm=lol.gif]
Only chance of survival is too send her away to the spa for the weekend and "surprise" her with new carpet when she returns.

You have several options:
1- induce her to RC modelling (worked with my wife...) and everythig will be forgiven
2- point the dog (or the cat, or the parrot)
3- Ignore the spot... spot? Idon´t see any spot there...
4- "Look; is the same color than your eye's make up!!!"
5- get another wife (if needed)
Good luck

Buy a new carpet.. take samples of fuel, epoxy, oil, paint etc to your carpet store and get something in those colors.
I did that in my spare bedroom.. you should have seen the salesman's face when I explained I wanted an epoxy-colored carpet. Worse still.. you should see what I ended up with [:'(]
Regards
Scott
