Folded up clunk
Hi Guys
I had a hard landing with my Tower Hobbies 40 trainer. The tank is almost full of fuel, but there is nothing but air getting to the carb. I believe the clunk has folded up in the tank. Is there a way to get it straightened out without removeing the tank from the plane.?
Thanks in advance. Fred

RE: Folded up clunk
I've often held the nose of the plane up and smacked the side at the fuel tank. It often works but you're really only putting a band-aid on the problem. If it did it one, it'll do it again. Best to take the tank out and fix it right.

Hold the plane nose up and give it a throw downward with a quick snap up and it will usualy slide back into place. If not stand it on it's nose to pump the fuel out and try again.
