Which engine to use for the Hangar9 Showtime 4-D 90
I'm trying to decide which engine to put in the Hangar9 Showtime 4-D 90 plane i'm currently building. I've narrowed my choices down to 2 engines. The FA-100 or the 125 Black Knight. Both of which are Saito's. My concerns are either being under powered or over powered. Anyone have any experience with either of these engines used in the Showtime plane?

I have ten flight on my buddys. It is Saito 1.25 powered. I don't think it has enough power. To fly it like a pattern ship or sport plane it has plenty. To 3D it needs more power. I am comparing it to my Funtana 50 with a Saito 82 and QQ 72" Yak with a 1.80. Both of these planes have a LOT more pull out authority than the Showtime. If I was doing one for myself it would have a Saito 1.50 or YS 1.10.

No the 125 is not huge in power but, this plane doesn't need it. This plane will make a you look like a very good pilot. The satio 100 is definitely underpowered. If all you want is do the pattern thing, which by the way this plane really excels in, the 100 will be fine. The 125 will do much more then the 100 is capable of.
