Default Recievers- low band -high band

Can someone tell me if you can use a high band reciever with a low band J R radio? I know that you cant on a Fut. radio, but a friend told me that you could on a J R. I think he is wrong but dont want to say anything unless I know that I am right. Wayne M.

JR does not sell low band or high band receivers. That is a concept that is totally unique to Futaba; and they are starting to move sway from it.

There is no such thing as a low band JR radio since the crystal or frequency module can be swapped out for any other frequency, so the answer is "yes".

Thanks guys, This is one time I am glad that I am wrong. I was offered this new receiver and mine is ch. 19 and the new one is ch.46. So what you are saying is I can buy a ch.19 crystal and use the ch. 46 receiver. Hope I got this right. Wayne

Be sure to do a range check with your new radio crystal before the first flight to make sure you are getting sufficient range and that the servos are not chattering/glitching if you are using FM.
