RE: CA Glue on finger
I vote for sandpaper. Pealing can remove too much skin, and chemicals are ... well ... chemicals. Nice new fine sandpaper will cut the glue but do very little damage to the skin.

When I cut myself I use CA Glue as a liquid Bandage. It keeps me from bleeding all over everything. I learned that trick by trial and error, if it's good enough for my plane... it's good enough for me.

My bad habit occasionally is cutting myself with X-acto Blade. Like they say...only a dab will do for us common surgeons! Watch that Prop, we had a guy last year loose a finger with a Glow at our club. Sorry to say he quit the Hobby, I think he would have been a great Safety Officer if he'd stayed with us. Meaning he could have showed people his hand and told people what Props could do if he or she wasn't careful.

RE: CA Glue on finger
CA also makes a great Hair spray just slick a little on there and you don't have to comb it for weeks,, PLUS you have a great football or motorcycle helmet for a few weeks as well.
there are over 10,000 uses for CA, I should write a book.....

What do you use to get CA Glue off of your finger once it has dried and hardened?

Seriously, Fingernail polish remover is the best and fastest way. It contains mild acetone and lotions that are safe to use on your skin.
Don't use straight acetone! It will dry out your skin. I keep a bottle on the work bench.
I had a semi-plugged bottle blow a huge glob of CA all over my hand and a wing. I was pretty well attached to it!
So, I walked to the nearest store and bought a bottle of fingernail polish remover.
The lady behind the counter asked why I was carrying a model airplane wing.
When I showed her how well I was glued to it, She laughed so hard, tears were running down her cheeks!
I sat outside the store for about an hour wiping the glued areas with the remover.
I got it all off and didn't damage the wing (or my hand) at all!
Experience is the best teacher. That was 19 years ago. I will NEVER do that again!!!

I'll be more concerned about the fumes attacking the lungs, than the temporary crust on the fingers.
