RE: dealing with Singapore
I have not dealt with RC-warbirds but I did one transaction with another Singapore-based RC shop - RCFlipmaster.com. I bought a small digital camera that they had modified to plug directly into a receiver.
They handled the order very promptly and the shipping took remarkably little time.
BUT...[:@]
It turned out that there was a problem with the camera. I contacted them about their 1-year warranty and got ... NO REPLY. I have contacted them about four times and had no response whatsoever.
The interesting thing is this: My sister lives in Singapore. I asked her about how to deal with this and she said that this was pretty typical of merchants in Singapore (in her experience). If you want service after the sale, you pretty much have to show up in the store and ram it down their throats. I guess its a culture thing, or something like that.
I won't be doing business with them or any other Singapore merchant in the future. Older and wiser now...
