Anyone out there have any experience with building the Cessna
Skymaster from Wendell Hostetler Plans and wood kits from Precision kit cutters or All American kit cutters. I have all the info on the support equipment ie: cowls etc. just need to know if there is a great deal of sheeting and fiberglass work, and what snags or building problems encountered in the completion of the model. Thanks for any info.

I fly with the MacDill Flyers on MacDill. You may know some of our members who have joined Bay City since access to MacDill is restricted to "accompanied only status" I also belong to Bay City Flyers, but because of the distance from my home and the upkeep on our field at Mac Dill, I fly at MacDill when I get the chance.

I've been working on the Skymaster on and off for about 2 years now. I cut my own parts (big mistake). The parts cutting was difficult with everything shown on the plans in half. I would highly recomend buying the kit. I believe the plans call for it to be all glassed. I have seen one with retractable gear and would sure like to know how that was done. How far are you on this project?

My flying buddy is currently building one. I can put you in touch with him if you like.
