Default Futaba reciever question

I have a quick question. I have a Futaba PCM reciever that is marked for Low Band. I know that the newer Futaba recievers can utilize both low and high band crystals. The model is FP-R138DP. Does anyone know if I can use a high band crystal? Thanks.

I have been doing itand not had any problems.I asked the guys at Radio South and they said put a crystal in it and fly.You might lose 500 feet in 5000 but at that distance you could'nt see it anyway.............

"the best" way is to have the receiver retuned. For the 15 bucks it costs its worth it to get it checked out, it sounds like you bought it used so its cheap insurance versus the cost of tearing up a model.

Yes, I bought it used. I range checked it and it seems to work ok. I will probably send it in as it is cheap insurance! Thanks guys!
