Will polyester resin adhere to a doped surface? (lightly sanded of course)

I had no luck with it curing,stayed a sticky mess but you coild try it on a test piece to see what happens as there are teo types of dope and it has been so long do not remember which type i had a ptonlem with

Nitrate dope will accept most everything over it, butyrate is more selective, thus butyrate is used as a top, or finish coat (usually over nitrate dope). But do a sample check, just to see how yours comes out.
