Method 1: best charge is 150 mA for 12 hours. It will not be warm at all.
Method 2: Or you can charge for one hour at 1450 mA. This may get warm but probably not enough to feel.

With the second approach, you need a charger that detects the peak. Because if you don't know the discharge state of the pack (is it half-depleted?) you need to use either method (1) or method (2) with a peak detecting charger.

If you have the Hobbico Fast Field Charger, mine says not to exceed 1.0 amps for AA batteries.

NiMh can be AA or AAA. The AA and AAA are the sizes of the battery.

WARNING THIS ADVICE NEEDS SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Method 1: best charge is 150 mA for 12 hours. It will not be warm at all.
Method 2: Or you can charge for one hour at 1450 mA. This may get warm but probably not enough to feel.
Both the above assume that the battery is near flat. If the battery is NOT NEAR FLAT then method 2 will damage the battery. NiMh are not as tolerant of overcharging as NiCads.

SEE http://www.powerstream.com/NiMH.htm FOR SOME BASIC STUFF.

The extreme case where the overcharge results in sufficient heat build up to cause a very rapid venting of gas is quite dramatic. The gas vented is hydrogen which burns very nicely if ignited and explodes if confined.
