castor oil
does anybody know if castor oil in the fuel degrades the performance in any way? My 46fx seems to run fine on full synthetic but does not run well on fuel with castor oil. I have an 120 ax and dont know if I should run the fuel with castor or not because of what it seems to do to my 46. anyone have any experience with this?

RE: castor oil
This is a very difficult subject for some! Leaves lots of room for arguing
I will only run fuel with Castor in it when it comes to 2 strokes. I believe there is no substitute for Castor Oil.
It could be that you needed to readjust your needle with the different fuel!
A+ 2 stroke and Castor!

G'day Mate,
IMHO, castor is old technology, I only use Coolpower Synthetic, in all my engines, 2 & 4 stroke, no problems at all.
And no black buildup inside or outside the engine.
But I know how to tune an engine, so it's not running lean, some may not & might need the insurance that castor can give. It's up to you, but as long as you don't use too much castor, like 25%, the engine should run OK on it, of course until it builds up varnish, then it will need to be cleaned out.
