What shops to visit in Singapore??
Hi all,
I'm making a trip to Singapore next week and will have a little spare time to browse some hobby shops.
Can anyone tell me the best shops to visit, and their web site if they have one.
I'm mainly interested in those that cater for Planes and Helis and i'm looking to buy a .50 sized pattern(ish) style plane kit or ARF plus a few servos.

RE: What shops to visit in Singapore??
Hi CustomPC, perhaps I can help.
Main cluster of aeromodeling hobby shops are in a building called Fook Hai. There are 4 shops:-
1. Jet Hobby - ground Floor, mainly electric and China made goods
2. Singapore Hobby Supplies - basement, the most established with a lot of high end pattern stuff including stuff from Japan.
3. NTC Engineering - next to the above, a lot of stuff from the US market
4. Hobby Shack - top floor, not many planes, but they're the agents for JR, Saito and Wildcat. Generally only quality stuff here.
Otherwise, there's another big shop called Rotor Hobby - about 10-15 mins away by cab. Thunder Tiger stuff and CMPro.
There are other smaller operators / shamteurs who operate out of everything from industrial workshops to little vans, but they are unlikely to have what you want.
PM me if you need more info.
Oh, and enjoy your visit to Singapore!
