Is the model you're putting it worth more or less than the 12 dollars it will cost to get the correct crystal?

A Hitec cyrstal will work in a Futaba reciever if it is the proper one. You will also need to follow the high and low recomendations from Futaba concerning the frequency the reciever is designed for. Here in the states a Hitec crystal is $11.00 and as mentioned Futaba is $12.00. Good Luck, Dave

I orderd a new futaba Rx and crystal. I got the futaba Rx but a hitec crystal. I did not know if that is the way it was done or if they just sent the wrong one.

I'd contact the vendor for the correct crystal. If it was their mistake they should pick up the shipping both ways.

It will work, it will work fine but, if something was to happen, read accident, that combination would be enough for our insurance carriers to say, we're sorry, the equipment used was against the manufacturers guidelines!

This day and age, I simply wouldn't risk it!

I called were I got it from.. (im not going to say who it is cuz they are a advertings on this site) They said that is what the Rx needs and it would work find. I said no. I will not run this in my radio. I want one from Futaba. That is was I asked for when I orderd it. They said that I will have to pay for shipping back to them and then the new shipping back to me with would be about 8 bucks.. I got in to it good with them. They tryed to tell me that it was made by a co. called frequance management. They said that they make them for hitec and futaba. They come off the same line. I Called this Frequance management co. They siad that they was not able to give my that info, but they have all the info for the futaba Rx and can cut me one. but I had to get a minamem order of 125 crystal. I said no. [:@] So I called the place that I got the rx from and told them what they said.. I told them that I will run the crystal in my rx and if I have a crash then they can send me a new plane servos rx and crystal or they can just send me a futaba crystal now. They said that is will be on its way out to me by the end of the day.

Im happy.

hi

it is my understanding that hitec uses a special crystal and not interchangeble with futaba. I have switched almost completely to hitec equipment. their dual conversion process if apparently different than futaba

good luck and happy flying

A frequency is developed as a multiple of the receiver chrystal frequency and can vary widely with the brand.

Ask in the Futaba support forum and they will tell you they only warranty thier equipment when used with their crystals and cannot garantee the performance with other than Futaba crystals.

Chances are it will work but you told them the same thing I would have, this is what I paid for, this is what I want.
