Default Top Flite Lustrekote

Does anybody know why Top Flite cut back on the colors of their Lustrekote? I need some of the Metallic Red and nobody has it and its not on the Top Flite website.

Thanks,

Jim

Supply and demand? Cause's cancer in California? Not sure really. Give Great Planes a call and see if they have a line on a can or two. You may also look up RCU member Bax and ask him. He is the Great Planes rep here on RCU. Good Luck, Dave

Hi Jim... no I don't have a clue.
You can always go to your local auto parts store and get a pretty good match with auto colors and it comes in a spray as well as touch up bottles.
I often do this to paint the top of contorl horn plates and cowling screws.
I'd be careful if painting a canopy though. for that I guess I might use RC car body paint, painted on the inside of the canopy.

They've dropped a lot of their colors. Olive drab is gone, cream is gone, Missile Red is gone. Don't know why.[sm=confused.gif]

[8D]I agree, supply and demand. Hangar 9 has done the same thing. I had to go to my local automotive store and
they supplied me with accurate matches.

Thanks Guys,

I guess I'll head to the local auto parts store and find a match.

Jim
