Cant keep exhaust from coming loose
Myself and a friend of mine both have planes that have a Zenoah G 62's and both have Slimline pits mufflers for them, and we both keep having issues with our exhaust either loosing bolts or coming loose. We have tried everything we can think of to stop this even going to the extent of red locktite and double nutting the bolts. can anyone gives us some ideas on what else we can try to stop this from happening?

RE: Cant keep exhaust from coming loose
I have a DA-50 with a slim line muffler and i used a gold type silicone good up to 800% degrees and i have never had a problem, i also have my engine soft mounted with a hyde mount that takes all the vibration out, nothing as of yet has come loose.

G'day Mate,
Are your props balanced? Hub & tips.
Vibration is what is causing your mufflers to come loose, obviously, & the best way to stop it, is to reduce vibration, props are good place to start.

Campy...it's called safty wire....
Believe it or not the best thread locker I've ever seen is gel super glue..it will come loose again so you can remove the screws....You need to use all metal lock nuts as well...not the lock nuts with nylon in them...no good where heat is present but all metal ones. probaly get them at a hardware store
